Some new things of EXCITEMENT
Today, I was delighted to have this piece (from my novel-in-stories) published over at the amazing Jellyfish Review.
My story “Where God Suddenly” was the second place winner in Bird Thumb’s Summer Fiction Contest.
I also had two flash pieces published in Okay Donkey and JMWW!
Finally, my story published last year in Gamut was listed as an Honorable Mention in The Year’s Best Horror (edited by Ellen Datlow. YES ELLEN DATLOW).
And I have pieces forthcoming from Modern Language Studies, Anomaly, Bridge Eight, Bone/Ink, and more.
Well April was a busy month, as the end of the semester always is. But I did have some new pieces up around in some amazing journals.
I have a story in the spring issue of Supernatural Tales—its titled after my greatest fear. I have a story about basketball over at Bull: Men’s Fiction (this piece was also chosen as one of Longform’s stories of the week).
I had poems in Eye to the Telescope, Terse, and Cease, Cows.
The Game of Nerds has a kind review of my book here!
Additionally, I’m delighted that I’ll be on two panels at WisCon this month: one on interactive storytelling and one on creating diverse spaces in writing, editing, publishing, and teaching.
Finally, I have pieces forthcoming from: Moonchild, Drunken Boat, The Coil, Juxtaprose, Lost Balloon, Graviton, and Jellyfish Review.
