Well April was a busy month, as the end of the semester always is. But I did have some new pieces up around in some amazing journals.
I have a story in the spring issue of Supernatural Tales—its titled after my greatest fear. I have a story about basketball over at Bull: Men’s Fiction (this piece was also chosen as one of Longform’s stories of the week).
I had poems in Eye to the Telescope, Terse, and Cease, Cows.
The Game of Nerds has a kind review of my book here!
Additionally, I’m delighted that I’ll be on two panels at WisCon this month: one on interactive storytelling and one on creating diverse spaces in writing, editing, publishing, and teaching.
Finally, I have pieces forthcoming from: Moonchild, Drunken Boat, The Coil, Juxtaprose, Lost Balloon, Graviton, and Jellyfish Review.
Hello, mes chers, this past month has seen me doing some exciting things.
These included a lot of interviews and reflective posts, so get ready because it’s Chloe O’ Clock (Chlock? No? Too much?).
I did an interview with James Figy for Fear No Lit’s Fail Better series, which you can read here! I also did an interview with Ben Niespodziany at Neon Pajamas! And I also did an interview with Rob Mclennan, which can be found here! Finally I also did a guest post with Nadia Gerassimenko talking about the themes of my book!
Other cool things, you ask? Well, I have a new flash fiction piece over at the wonderful MoonPark Review! And a post in Horror 101 on Enclosed Vs. Exposed horror at Nerds of a Feather!
Plus, I had the delight of reading for DMACC’s Literary Arts Festival with the lovely Claire Kruesel. Which was a highlight of my month.
Stay tuned for more updates as I have pieces coming out in Bull: Men’s Fiction, JuxtaProse, Lost Balloon, Moonchild, Supernatural Tales, Cease Cows, and Eye to the Telescope.
Over the past month, some exciting things have happened. Including that my BOOK CAME OUT. I had a release party in Iowa and it went very well. If you pre-ordered, your copy should be getting to you soon! If you’d still like to get a copy, it’s available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and through the publisher.
In February, I published a few pieces. I have been following the amazing Little Fiction for years and I was so delighted that they published my piece Balancing Beams. Over at the lovely Third Point Press, I have another space story up—Out in the Night, I Found Myself Falling.
Additionally, I had a piece of fiction over at wonderful Former Cactus, Everyone’s at Our Place, Even Though We’re Gone and a poem in the awesome Hypertrophic Press called It’s the Horror of My Friends That We Say Mean Things About Blondes.
On the topic of space, over at Nerds of a Feather I did an interview with the amazing Brian Ramos about space and its representation in sci-fi media and pop culture. He’s a great interviewee with interesting thoughts and I hope you check it out! I also reviewed The Ritual at NOAF.
Charity Month at Cotton Xenomorph went so well, thanks to the wonderful writing community, and we raised almost $350 for various organizations and causes!
Finally, I have some pieces coming out in the upcoming months in: Cease Cows, Moonchild, MoonPark, Lost Balloon, Midnight Oil, Glass, Supernatural Tales, and more.
