This week, I’m excited to finally have my official book release for my collection (out from Vegetarian Alcoholic Press). If you happen to be in Ames, Iowa, stop in to Design on Main on October 11th (7:00-8:30 PM) for readings, cupcakes, a book signing, and surprises. In addition to me reading some poems, there will be fabulous readings by amazing writer friends: Crystal Stone, Erin Schmiel, and Claire Kruesel.

Over the past month, some exciting things have happened. Including that my BOOK CAME OUT. I had a release party in Iowa and it went very well. If you pre-ordered, your copy should be getting to you soon! If you’d still like to get a copy, it’s available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and through the publisher.
In February, I published a few pieces. I have been following the amazing Little Fiction for years and I was so delighted that they published my piece Balancing Beams. Over at the lovely Third Point Press, I have another space story up—Out in the Night, I Found Myself Falling.
Additionally, I had a piece of fiction over at wonderful Former Cactus, Everyone’s at Our Place, Even Though We’re Gone and a poem in the awesome Hypertrophic Press called It’s the Horror of My Friends That We Say Mean Things About Blondes.
On the topic of space, over at Nerds of a Feather I did an interview with the amazing Brian Ramos about space and its representation in sci-fi media and pop culture. He’s a great interviewee with interesting thoughts and I hope you check it out! I also reviewed The Ritual at NOAF.
Charity Month at Cotton Xenomorph went so well, thanks to the wonderful writing community, and we raised almost $350 for various organizations and causes!
Finally, I have some pieces coming out in the upcoming months in: Cease Cows, Moonchild, MoonPark, Lost Balloon, Midnight Oil, Glass, Supernatural Tales, and more.
