So what’s been happening in the world of my writing?
I’ve had pieces recently in the following awesome places:
2 poems over at New Southern Fugitives, 1 in Likely Red, and 1 in Bone & Ink Press. Banshee Lit is also putting some pieces, that were previously only in print, up on their website and you can read one of mine here.
I had a flash fiction piece in Pithead Chapel and a new short story in the print edition of Supernatural Tales!
My flash fiction piece, The Intimacy of Objects, was nominated by Jellyfish Review for Best Small Fictions!
I also found out my poetry manuscript was a semi-finalist in UW Press’ Brittingham/Pollak Award Contest!
And I also have an interview with the lovely Nadia at her site.

Some new things of EXCITEMENT
Today, I was delighted to have this piece (from my novel-in-stories) published over at the amazing Jellyfish Review.
My story “Where God Suddenly” was the second place winner in Bird Thumb’s Summer Fiction Contest.
I also had two flash pieces published in Okay Donkey and JMWW!
Finally, my story published last year in Gamut was listed as an Honorable Mention in The Year’s Best Horror (edited by Ellen Datlow. YES ELLEN DATLOW).
And I have pieces forthcoming from Modern Language Studies, Anomaly, Bridge Eight, Bone/Ink, and more.
Well April was a busy month, as the end of the semester always is. But I did have some new pieces up around in some amazing journals.
I have a story in the spring issue of Supernatural Tales—its titled after my greatest fear. I have a story about basketball over at Bull: Men’s Fiction (this piece was also chosen as one of Longform’s stories of the week).
I had poems in Eye to the Telescope, Terse, and Cease, Cows.

Additionally, I’m delighted that I’ll be on two panels at WisCon this month: one on interactive storytelling and one on creating diverse spaces in writing, editing, publishing, and teaching.
Finally, I have pieces forthcoming from: Moonchild, Drunken Boat, The Coil, Juxtaprose, Lost Balloon, Graviton, and Jellyfish Review.
Hello, mes chers, this past month has seen me doing some exciting things.
These included a lot of interviews and reflective posts, so get ready because it’s Chloe O’ Clock (Chlock? No? Too much?).
I did an interview with James Figy for Fear No Lit’s Fail Better series, which you can read here! I also did an interview with Ben Niespodziany at Neon Pajamas! And I also did an interview with Rob Mclennan, which can be found here! Finally I also did a guest post with Nadia Gerassimenko talking about the themes of my book!
Other cool things, you ask? Well, I have a new flash fiction piece over at the wonderful MoonPark Review! And a post in Horror 101 on Enclosed Vs. Exposed horror at Nerds of a Feather!
Plus, I had the delight of reading for DMACC’s Literary Arts Festival with the lovely Claire Kruesel. Which was a highlight of my month.

Over the past month, some exciting things have happened. Including that my BOOK CAME OUT. I had a release party in Iowa and it went very well. If you pre-ordered, your copy should be getting to you soon! If you’d still like to get a copy, it’s available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and through the publisher.
In February, I published a few pieces. I have been following the amazing Little Fiction for years and I was so delighted that they published my piece Balancing Beams. Over at the lovely Third Point Press, I have another space story up—Out in the Night, I Found Myself Falling.
Additionally, I had a piece of fiction over at wonderful Former Cactus, Everyone’s at Our Place, Even Though We’re Gone and a poem in the awesome Hypertrophic Press called It’s the Horror of My Friends That We Say Mean Things About Blondes.
On the topic of space, over at Nerds of a Feather I did an interview with the amazing Brian Ramos about space and its representation in sci-fi media and pop culture. He’s a great interviewee with interesting thoughts and I hope you check it out! I also reviewed The Ritual at NOAF.
Charity Month at Cotton Xenomorph went so well, thanks to the wonderful writing community, and we raised almost $350 for various organizations and causes!
Finally, I have some pieces coming out in the upcoming months in: Cease Cows, Moonchild, MoonPark, Lost Balloon, Midnight Oil, Glass, Supernatural Tales, and more.
So I’ve published a few things over the past month, have some exciting things coming out soon, and also am starting to get reviews of my book!
First off, though, February is charity month at Cotton Xenomorph, so I’ll tell you all about that here. For the entire month, if you donate ten dollars or more to the charity of your choice (and e-mail us a receipt) we’ll be offering editorial critiques.
